We estimate the first beta will be ready by March 14th. There will only be 1 beta and 1 RC version before this new version goes stable. Since this is our first attempt at our new development cycle this first set of features could take longer or be completed much earlier. Based on how this process works we will be able to better judge release dates in the future.

All votes have now been reset and a new round of voting can take place for the next batch of features. The next batch of features will be selected on March 14th (or when the first Beta is released).

We have 3 full time and 1 part time job openings available. We would prefer those interested in the jobs be located in the Bay Area, however this isn't a requirement as we have staff working from home as well. What positions are available?

Developer (1 opening)
If you have in-depth knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML and CSS this job will interest you. You will be working with an object orientated MVC framework and will become a core developer for the phpFox product.

Support Technician (2 openings)
We are looking for 2 upbeat technicians. If you understand PHP, MySQL, HTML and CSS or have worked with phpFox before then you will suite the Support Technician opening. You will be helping clients with feature settings and troubleshooting. So if you enjoy helping people and trying to figure out a solution for a problem this is the job for you! All support is done via email.

Sales Representative (1 opening – part time)
Are you a cheerful person who enjoys the internet? Do you enjoy helping others? Do you learn fast? If yes, then the part time Sales Rep. position is perfect for you! No prior coding skills are required, but if you understand the basic of coding then it’s a plus! This position if perfect for you if you're a student or have a part time job.

To summarize, it will allow us to develop new features much faster and in many cases the features our community wants at that given time.

With each new release we will reset votes so new new votes can be taken into account. Since this new development cycle starts today all votes thus far has been reset. Each client gets 5 votes max. So you can vote on 5 features you want right now by visiting our feature tracker here.

On February 20th we will select the features that will be developed for v3.1.0 and development will begin the same day. On that day votes will be reset so another round of votes can be done for the next feature set for v3.2.0.

Once the first beta for v3.1.0 is released we select the next round of features for v3.2.0 and the cycle begins again for new votes to decide the next set of features for v3.3.0.

This is a very new way of development for us and we are excited to give this a try.

Installing this Build

Visit your dashboard and click on one of your licenses. Then download "Download Latest Available Version (3.0.0)". Once you have downloaded the ZIP archive, unzip it on your computer and navigate into the folder "upload/". Only upload the files in that folder and not the folder itself to your sites root directory. Make sure that it overwrites your old files on the server.

Once that is done log into your AdminCP and clear your sites cache (Tools >> Maintenance >> Cache Manager).

To confirm you are on build 2, go to Tools >> System Overview. Look for Core Version. It should output 3.0.0(build 2).

Alternatively you can view the changelog for this build and manually upload each file, however we advice to upload the entire package to assure you have all the files correctly updated.
