Guru: how to make server(s) config file - 3 domains work as 1 social

Posted December 29, 3:12 pm 2011

have 3 servers (data) * 1 db * and 3 domains.
So there the fun part must begin...

domain.ee domain.net domain.com - the idea of possible maybe use is to make 3 independent config files? use other 2 domains as concurent servers?

so

domain.ee is main (on its own config file) and others concurent?
domain.net is main (on its own config gile) and others concurent?
domain.com is main (on its own config gile) and others concurent?

and the main interesting thin in config line is:
$_CONF['core.host'] = 'www.domain.ee';

Please use the contact us form or the support ticket system to contact sales in regards to the license issue to get their advice so that you don't get your license revoked and I would not want to have anyone advise you incorrectly here in the forum. Smile

As for the other questions, someone else asked that this morning and I directed them to mostlymom since she's a server person and might be able to set it up. Or maybe someone will post in here in regards to that.

why don't you pick the domain you want to work with and have the other two forward to it?

then you only have to work on a single site/domain, and if you ever need to, you can do load balancing later, or split the html files and sql up into two servers.

sounds like you're doing a lot of extra work when a simple redirect or domain forwarding would suffice.

That is done right now. But its only the fastest and in other words "Not tasty" solution. Not everyone knows English. static files as index, terms are in english or in language what i'll write. - in other words only 1 possible use of text. I need different languages per domain.

As i own SE4 - there is multilanguage pages, phrases, terms, usage blocks of text are independed.

Social engine is verry slow,y tested him in a dedicated server with 1000 users, with 4500 you need more than 600 mb dedicated ram just to him,and spend a lot of bandwich, yes you find more themes than phpfox, becouse the core is verry ramificated, and can make very easy themes, but php fox it have the core verry good sistematizated....when install the facebook login in social engine, your server crash...,in phpfox....only problem is...to see what you are tasting:=))
Think about this

P.S

PhpFox...it have not bugs, just must tu know configure a little
