We wanted to take a moment to release a new build for those that want to keep their v2.0.7 up-to-date with the latest build we have that comes with several fixes and not have to wait for a new version.
Fixes include:
- Activity Points
- AdminCP Profile Edit

If you are running phpFox v2.0.7 and just want to upgrade to the latest build all you need to do is download the ZIP archive attached to this blog. Unzip and upload the contents found within the upload/ folder to your sites root directory. Then go to your AdminCP and clear your sites cache. Final step is to go to: Tools >> System Overview
Look for phpFox Version and it should now be on 2.0.7(build 4)
Our clients area already has Build 4.
The list of modified files for this build are:

Our live demo is now running the latest build of phpFox version 2.0.7. Give it a test run here.
v2.0.7 is a maintenance release that comes with over 150 bug fixes.
Most notably our Facebook Connect module has been rebuilt to use Facebooks Graph API. The source code required to use the new API is minimal so keeping up and fixing any problems related to Facebook Connect shouldn't be much of a problem in comparison to our past FB module.
v2.0.7 is near complete and we are running some final tests. Feel free to join the fun by testing our live demo and reporting any problems here.
EDIT 1: To fully test certain features you will need to enable it via an AdminCP. You can test the full experience by creating your personal test bed here.
As you may already know v2.0.7 will include an updated Facebook Connect module that comes with several crucial fixes. These new changes come with certain server requirements and more information on that can be found here.
I have attached a ZIP archive that comes with 1 PHP file that can be placed anywhere on your server to test if Facebook Connect will work once you have v2.0.7 installed.
To test your server do the following:
- Download the ZIP archive below.
- Unzip and upload the file "fbconnect.php" to your server and make sure you place it in your sites root directory.
- Visit your site by going to www.yoursite.com/fbconnect.php
