Based on a community request we have created a new category at our phpFox wiki for v2 called "Video Tutorials".
We at phpFox will be creating site/AdminCP feature related video tutorials, showing how to do what within the site or the AdminCP. We will be prioritizing site/AdminCP vids, however if time allows us we will be releasing some minor source code editing videos later on.
If you are a phpFox enthusiast and wish to contribute to the Video Tutorials, feel free to share your contribution here. This will be very appreciated both by the phpFox team and by the community! In fact the first video tutorial added to the wiki was made by a phpFox client, Dan and the tutorial was about creating a welcome intro to your phpFox index page. Kudos to Dan!
We hope that this new category will help phpFox newbies with their site! We also hope that more phpFoxers will step up with creating video tutorial like Dan did!

We have received some mails from both potential customers as well as from phpFox clients in regards to how to make money with your phpFox sites. Here are some ideas to help you monetize your social networking site:
User-targeted site advertisement
There are several ways in making money from your social networking site. One of the major methods is to create ads on your site, from Google AdSense or by someone sponsoring an ad space on your site to get your members attention.
With the new phpFox version (v2) you can create ads based on:
- clicks
- impressions
- user group/membership type
- location
- gender
- age
- module placed ad(which module you want the ad to show on)
You can located your ads or banners on different blocks on your site, for example; you can have an ad at the top right of your site or at the very bottom by easily choosing this in a setting. To choose the block location you go to your AdminCP and by a few clicks you've targeted your ads with your preference!
Read this tutorial on how to create an ad.
Below are some images to show you how the Ad Manager looks like(in case you do not have a phpFox license) Feel free to click on the images to view them in a higher resolution.:
