If you are working with VMWARE and using Ubuntu you may have come across a problem where your CTRL key stops working. The overall suggested fix is to execute 'setxkbmap' in a terminal. I created a shortcut on my desktop to that bin to make it easier.

If you have run into this problem and if the fix helped or not please take the time to update the bug report so it can be fixed with a patch.
