Forum
Hope you had a good start on your new year!
We have had two great phpFox members step up on the plate to help us staff with light community moderation.
They are known as Dazzy and snfanatic, Dazzy was actually a forum moderator a while ago and since he had to step down we have seen some community members request for him to take on this role again! Luckily Dazzy now has the possibility to help both us(phpFox) and the community with his assistance. snafantic is one of our most enthusiastic phpFox supporter and we are thrilled to have him help the community!
As Community Moderators they can close a thread that has an ongoing non-constructive debate or any other thread that goes against the community rules. They can move post/threads that are reported misplaced. The community moderatos can also move post/threads to a special archive forum for us phpFox Admins to review and do any necessary final action. They can also view the Report Area, so they will be made aware of any report from you and your fellow members.
Please note that they are primarily your fellow phpFoxers; so do still discuss with them about the phpFox script and its functionality like you did prior to this role and also it is still our responsibility as to what final action is drawn to a reported item/member. Please report any misplaced post/threads or any item that goes against the forum rules by clicking on the red button on the top right of each post/thread for any moderator to review and do not PM them personally to move anything.
We welcome Dazzy and snfanatic as community moderators!
Thank you for your time!
As of today we have removed the mods that did not meet the Paid Mod Rules in the Paid Mods Section for 1.6.x.
If your mod has been removed and you wish to re-post it according to the new rule, but want to copy the details please PM our forum moderator Jack for him to assist you in this case - this applies to any version(including plugins for v1.1 and 1.5.x).
Thank you for your attention!
Then this notice is for you and to all our modders/3rd Party Developers within our User-User Support Forums; to remind you that your plug-in/mod that has a fee and is released within our phpFox Paid Modifications section needs to be updated!
In the beginning of this month we announced that we set up a Paid Mod Rules and there was a temporary notice saying(quoted):
Temporary notice: For those who have their plugins/mods out has to update them before 11th May, 2009 - 40 days from today's date(2nd April, 2009). If they do not meet the requirements they will be removed without notification. If a modder is unavailable or on vacation for the moment, we can temporarily remove the plug-in and once he/she gets back and sends us a PM requesting to re-add their plugin, they will be given a 24 hours to update their thread.
We just wanted to remind our modders to update their threads to make sure they will stay within the section.
Thanks,
As our User-User Support Forums has grown we have had members come and go and some had gone a little too soon to leave another member distress and/or dissatisfied. When I say this, I am talking about our modders in the past. Modders who would release a plug-in just to get a good chunk of a poor mans funding and to run a way from the forums, leaving the buyer angry and broke.
Buyers in the past ordered failing plug-ins, did not receive support or get a rightful refund; so to make it more safe for the buyers of the plug-ins/mods we decided to make a recommendation for new buyers and a Paid Mod Rules for modders to follow.
We have released them as announcement for the phpFox Paid Modifications section.
Having these two announcement out, we hope buyers feel more safe with their modders and that the good modders out there feel confident in providing their plug-in!
So to all you buyers, good luck with your order and plugin; to all the modders, good luck with your clients; and for everyone else who is not considering buying/selling a plug-in from a third party developer have a wonderful day and thank you for following the phpFox Company Blog!
Monday has arrived! First day of the ordinary working/studying week. Hope you had a great weekend and a good start on your working/studying week!
Just wanted to let you know that we have created two sub-forums under our General Forums. The sub-forums are called Server / Hosting and Marketing / Advertising. We first, just created a Server / Hosting sub-forum, since many members have questions and thoughts on their servers and hosting companies and while we were at it some members requested for a Marketing / Advertising section. Thank you for requesting it, hope these two new sections become useful to you!
